Location
Trails! Trails! Trails!
The Sanders Ranch, upon which we operate
Battlefield Equestrian Center, Inc., is located in Centreville, Virginia,
just 3 miles south of the Route 66 on Route 29, or Lee Highway (about
10 miles outside the Capitol Beltway).
We have about 140
acres adjacent to the Manassas National Battlefield
Park. In fact, one of our property lines is Bull Run (the creek)
where the famous Civil War battles were fought. The MNBP has over
5,000 acres and close to 30 miles of well maintained bridle
trails (just
for horses), in addition to the pedestrian trails. One of
the bridle trails leads directly into our lower pasture. So,
access to these peaceful and historic trails is as simple as crossing
Bull Run. Additionally,
we can easily access Bull Run Regional Park and its trail system,
via 'George's Trail' (named after a tireless trail advocate, Ms.
Jurich, a client who has been with us through many years and has
offered much in the way of trail development in the area). We can
also connect, through Bull Run Regional Park, to the 'Blue Line'
trail system that runs though Clifton, past Fountainhead Park and
along the Occoquan watershed. This
trail system exceeds 50 miles of beautiful countryside and waterways
while passing through several counties.
So, being in Fairfax County, we are rather
close for those of you who live toward D.C. and also close to many of you
who live farther out. We try to keep our prices very competitive,
so those
of you in the 'farther out' group may find you get more bang for your buck
and will be closer to the barn on your way home from work.
History, peacefulness, serenity, space and Trails, Trails, Trails!
But 'Location' is not all we have
to offer — please read about our FACILITIES.
